Log Cabin's Amari
$4,000
DOB:  7/28/2012
ARI#: 32211474
Female                     Light Fawn

Sire: PHA AccoyoZagot
Dam: TCB Zanella

Amari is our second PHB Accoyo Zagot cria, and we could not be more pleased. Unfortunately, Amari was in a growth spurt when we went to North Amerian and Northeast Expo Shows this spring. Even though her conformation, due to a huge growth spurt, score hurt her placement, she still placed 5th at North American and 4th at the Northeast Expo. Very respectable placing in very large light fawn classes with many big farms.
Judge Amanda VandenBosch commented that she had bright organzing fleece with a great deal of solidity, brightness, and a beautiful handling fleece.

Log Cabin's Augustus (Gus)
$1,500
DOB:  8/14/2012
ARI#: 32118483
Male                           True Black
Sire: Ausable Valley's Freestyle
Dam: The Reverend Mr. Black Daddy's Girl

They could have knocked us over with a feather when Gus place 2nd in the juvie True Black class at the North American Show.  We knew he was nice, but you think every alpaca on your farm is a winner. He has great conformation, a broad crimp style, dense, soft, shiny fleece.  He is definitely the whole package.

Unfortunately, the very hot weather was not kind to Gus at the Northeast Alpaca Expo.  His fine dense fleece just "wilted".  Judge Amanda VandenBosch aknowledged that this was just not his day when she presented him with the 5th place ribbon.

Gus is backed up by some great genetics;  Peruvian Conan, Mile High The Reverend Mr. Black, and former Herdsire of the Year Peruvian Lancaster.  This future herdsire will make some farm very happy.

Log Cabin's Glory
$1,000
DOB:  6/2/2012
ARI#: 32211467
Female             Medium Fawn
Sire: Double R Bullseye
Dam: Log Cabin's Skye

Glory is a beautiful medium fawn sired by Double R Bullseye who is out of Derwydd Peruvian Pinachi’s Quan (R1436365), from the west coast.
Bullseye is a full Peruvian Accoya/Allianza.  We were excited to added this lineage to our herd.  Glory has fineness, density, brightness and a typey head.  We are anxious to get her micron count done, we are sure it will be one of the best on the farm.  We think we made a mistake at the North American Show, by taking Glory out to stand through a very long class before her.  When she entered the ring she was soaking wet from sweating.  We won't make that mistake again.

Glory is so beautiful since she has been shorn.  She had such an abundance of very fine fleece that it was hard to show her best qualities in the hot weather.

Log Cabin's Mazie

DOB:  7/16/2012
ARI#: 32118490
Female                      True Black

Sire: Ausable Valley's Freestyle
Dam: Log Cabin's Sadie

The day Mazie was born our friend from Ideuma Creek Alpacas, Denise Jacobus, looked at her and said you have a champion!  She was right! Mazie took the 1st place Blue Ribbon at the North American Show, April 2013. She is the whole package; broad chest, beautiful conformation, soft crimpy bright fiber, and density too.

Judge Amanda VandenBosch made so many wonderful commets about Mazie. Well Mazie did it again, bringing home the 1st Place Blue Ribbon and the Reserve Color Championship at the Northeast Alpaca Show in Syracuse, May 2013.

Log Cabin's Ransom $1,000
DOB:  8/30/2012
ARI#: 32211450
Male                         White

Sire: Log Cabin's Dakota
Dam: TCB Suzanna

Ransom was the biggest cria ever born on our farm at 21 pounds and is still a big strong strapping young cria. We refer to him as the "Gentle Giant".  He is very friendly and loves to give kisses.  He was quite a hit at the North American Show, attracting passer-bys and demanding their attention.  White is the last color we expected out of two medium fawn parents, but his lineage carries some outstanding names in the alpaca business:  PCA Accoyo ShangriLa, Victor's Vaccoyo, PPeruivan Caligula, and Peruvian Hemingway, to name just a few.  Ransom has beautiful bright crimpy fleece.  He was not shorn until September, so he barely has 6 months of fiber growth,  We are very anxious to get his YoColl-McColl results back.  He has just beautiful soft fiber.

Log Cabin's Tribute $1,000
DOB:  8/16/2012
ARI#: 31869065
Male                      True Black

Sire: Ausable Valley's Freestyle
Dam: Log Cabin's Isabella  (Bella)

Tribute was the smallest cria ever born on our farm.  He was a healthy energic 10 pounder, who was up and walking and nursing within 30 minutes of his birth.  He may be small in stature, but he is a "mighty mite".  He has dense, bundling, bright fiber, and conformationly perfect.  He placed 5th in the same True Black class as Gus at the North American Alpaca Show.  We were excited to walk away with two ribbons in the same juvie True Black class out of 6 places.

Our little man,Tribute, stood proud and tall at the Northeast Alpaca Expo in Syracuse (May 2013) and placed 2nd.  We were excited for Tribute and our herdsire Ausable Valley's Freestyle, with all 3 of his cria once again placing well in tough True Black classes.
